Having started to work with C in the mid 80's and then with Oracle around 1989 was
probably the best career decision I ever made.
Over the past 20 years being a heavy C / Linux / Database developer has given me the
opportunity to work with such a varied number of clients and applications it just
amazes me sometimes.
It's really hard for me to see any other mix of skills affording me the same kind of business exposure and growth.
After 20+ years of consulting, I'm mostly involved with trying to have an actual life these days versus
going from one hotel to another for onsite client projects. However, if I'm free and the project
is interesting I might be open to helping out.
